Even King David danced before the Lord (2 Samuel 6:14). In the Old Testament, dancing was used as a way to worship God. As early as the book of Exodus, we find Miriam, Moses’ sister dancing in worship for God delivering them from the Egyptians. Like any other activity, it can be used in the wrong way, but God was pleased with dancing when it was used to worship Him. As a married couple, there is nothing wrong with dancing with each other. So, whether it’s just a one-time class or you sign up for several sessions, line dancing and square dancing are just plain fun…it’s also good exercise.
