Before you say goodnight…

Before you say goodnight, take time to intercede for your spouse. Ask them what you can specifically pray for them this week.

Also pray for his/her health, spiritual growth, job, struggles, dreams, and any other area that the Holy Spirit brings to your mind.

For your relationship, pray that you will see the good in one another, stay committed to each other, put your spouse’s needs before your own, that you would each show humility towards one another when you disagree, that you would keep your priorities straight and make God first in your lives and marriage.

Ask God to allow you to serve Him together and give you guidance in your decisions. In his job, pray that God will give your husband His Spirit so that he will have wisdom, discernment, peace, and a sound mind.

Ask him to help you respect one another and to always display honesty.

Pray for God to protect your husband’s heart so that he will be a man of prayer and purpose striving after God’s own heart. Pray that your husband will seek God’s will and God’s Word and that he will grow more like Jesus every day. Pray that God will make your husband wise to the schemes of the devil and empower him to resist temptations.

Ask him to help you raise your child to know God and to obey His commandments. Pray that God will lead your husband in His way so that your husband can lead your family through strength, grace, love, and patience.

Pray for God to protect his mind and keep him rom worry and that God will grant him peace and direct his thoughts toward God.

Ask him to deepen your love and friendship.

And ask him to help you each love him above all else.
