Before you say goodnight, take time to intercede for your pastor and church leadership. Tomorrow your pastor will step into the pulpit to preach God’s Word. Satan will work the hardest against him tonight and tomorrow, so pray for God, who is great than Satan, to defeat him. Ask God to place shield of protection around him. Pray that your pastor will be able to preach with strength, boldness, and truth. Pray for God to protect his family from the attacks of Satan. Pray for his health, his relationship with God, his struggles, and for wisdom to lead your church. Pray for God to open his mind to understand God’s Word with clarity and give him the ability to teach it so it is understood.
Pray for the leaders of your church: other staff, deacons, etc. that God would enable them to discern His plan for your church and that they would all be in one accord to carry out that plan as God directs them.
