Before you say goodnight, take time to thank God for all his blessings that He has bestowed on this this past week. If you do not regularly thank Him for his blessings, then start by asking him to forgive you for taking them for granted.
Thank Him for suppling your needs, for forgiving you and saving you from your sin, for sending Jesus to die for you. Thank Him for his everlasting love, his faithfulness to you, and that His mercies are new every morning. Thank Him for his grace. Thank Him for continually drawing you back to Him whenever you start to pull away. Thank Him for the gift of the Holy Spirit that guides, guards, and directs your paths. Thank Him for the Bible that teaches us His way. Thank Him for His strength, for being your fortress. Thank Him for good health or His healing touch. Thank Him for any answered prayers.
