As head of your home, it is your responsibility to lead through the power of the Holy Spirit in every area of your marriage and home, including developing emotional and physical intimacy. You should be leading your home to grow spiritually. Since God has placed this burden on you as the husband, if your relationship begins to grow cold or stale, it is your responsibility to stoke the embers and bring intimacy, togetherness, and closeness back. This does not mean that a wife holds no responsibility in this area. If she should notice a drifting apart, she can work to restore closeness too. Take time to evaluate your marriage and determine if you are growing closer or drifting apart. What can you do to grow closer?
