Couple Challenge: Home Date Night

167

Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky proclaims the work of His hands.” Over in Isaiah 40:26, we read, “Look up and see: who created these? He brings out the starry host by number; He calls all of them by name. Because of His great power and strength, not one of them is missing.”

On a clear night, prepare a late dinner together and set up a table outside. Use your china, set candles on the table, and play some soft music. Have dinner under the moon. Borrow, rent, or purchase a telescope to view the moon and stars. Download Google Sky and learn about the constellations and planets. Talk about how the moon and stars display the glory of God as you peer at them through the telescope. How does it make you feel that God calls each star by name and not one of them is ever missing or lost? If God keeps track of the stars, then how much more does He never lose track of us who He created in His own image?

Dance in the moonlight.
