Seeking God’s face. To seek the face of God is to seek His presence. David was a life-long seeker of the presence of God. In Psalm 63:1 we can hear his longing as he seeks for God. He describes his seeking as a thirst, but there is no water. He compares it to being faint from lack of water. What if we felt that way? What if we searched for God with all our heart because we thirsted for Him and felt so desperate for Him that we just might faint without Him? This week we look at Psalm 63 and discover 7 things about seeking God. Be sure to watch the short animated video to learn the seven things that occur when we seek God.
This week’s memory verse:
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
Psalm 63:1. O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you;my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.Tweet

Do you serve in ministry? If so, you’ll want to browse our self-care blogs.
In the series of blogs, we breakdown why people in ministry need to practice self care, explain the differences between stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue, and combine both psychology and Biblical principles to help pastors, missionaries, small group leaders, worship pastors, nursery workers, facility/maintenance staff, religious non-profit staff, and any other ministry staff understand why self-care is crucial to you continuing the work God’s called you to do.
If you can relate to this, then take some time to read our self care blogs.
Test your Bible smarts and see if you can answer our trivia questions. We post a trivia question every other day and the correct answer on the next day. Stop by the trivia page and grab a question or two and see if your friends and family can answer it.
