A daily verse about the state of our nation and time for Christians reflect and unite in prayer, asking God to send a revival across our land and turn our nation back to Him.
Do we need a revival?
Revival begins with confession
Unless we see the need for revival, there will never be revival. Revival begins when we come face to face with our sin – with our complacency in our spiritual walk with God – with idols we’ve allowed to creep in – with whatever is hindering your relationship with God. But when we confess these to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Then we are ready to experience revival.
The Need for Revival
- Take an honest look at your life. What sins are there that keep you from experience the intimate relationship with God that He wants to have with you? Confess and repent of those. Exchange them for Godly living.
- What are the sins of our nation? Intercede on behalf of our nation, confessing our sins and asking God to forgive us.
Praying for Revival
Father, you already know our sins. There is nothing we can hide from you. But, today, Lord, we come to you to confess the sins you’ve revealed to us. Our hearts are broken over our sin and the sins of our nation. Forgive and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Create in us a clean heart and restore a right spirit within us.
Lord, send a revival and let it begin in me.
