Tuesday’s Emotional Self-Care Tip

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:…a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance” — Ecclesiastes 3:1,4

Make a list of all the ways God has blessed you in 2020. Write them on slips of paper and put them in a jar. When you are feeling overwhelmed or discouraged, take them out and remember how God has blessed you and praise Him for His many blessings.

(Don’t forget to practice social distancing, wash your hands and wear your mask!)

Monday’s Physical Self-Care Tip

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:…a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance” — Ecclesiastes 3:1,4

Commit to eating healthy this week. If that would be drastic to what you’re used to then commit to making just one healthy change in your diet, such as cutting out soda or sugar.

“The World Health Organization recommends the follow for a healthy diet for adults: Less than 10% of total calories from free sugars (the equivalency of 50 grams or 12 teaspoons) for a person of healthy body weight consuming about 2000 calories per day. However, the ideal is less than 5%. Free sugars are all sugars added to foods and drinks as well as natural sugars in honey, syrups, and fruit juices.” — Julia Bruce”
