Do you ever feel like your prayers are not being heard by God? Do you cry out in total desperation and feel like He’s no where near? Especially now with COVID19 a worldwide pandemic, we want to know if God hears us when we pray. The good thing is that God hearing us is not based on how we feel in this moment. We can be assured that God hears every praise, every tear, every cry of desperation, every sigh, and every worry. He even hears our thoughts. In fact, in Psalm 139:4, the psalmist wrote, “Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.” He tells us that there is no where we can go that God is not able to both know where we are and hear us. Not a single part of our lives escapes His notice. Perhaps you are waiting on a COVID test result today – or, you just received a positive diagnosis. It’s not the news you wanted, but God already knew it. He’s not surprised or thrown off guard and He is already working to bring about His perfect plan for you. In Psalm 34, David wrote, “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears…This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles…The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry…the righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.”
David knew both sorrow and fear. Yet in every circumstance he faced, he knew to call out to God and he knew that God heard him. He knew that God was always near. We, today, have that same assurance. You can be sure that as God’s child, He will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). God is always near and He hears your cry. He will never abandon you. You are never alone. Because you are His child you are filled with the Holy Spirit and He will carry you through every trial. Exodus 14:14 says, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still.” Just as God was with David when he fought Goliath, God will be with you through your battles. Just as God was with Daniel in the lion’s den, God will be with you as you face your adversaries. Just as God was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo, God will stand with you through the fiery trial you face. Just as God’s eye in on the sparrow, you can know that He is watching over you…and He’s got it all under His control.

In 2020 our emphasis is on revival for America with three key words: revive, renew, and redeem. You will begin to see the elements of our website and posts reflect this emphasis. We hope you’ll join us in praying for God to pour out the Holy Spirit with a mighty rushing wind of revival for our nation and around the world.
Our key verse for revival is 2 Chronicles 7:14. “If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. For the past few weeks, we have been focusing on repentance. This week, we look at the spiritual transformation that takes place when we surrender our heart to God.
