Ruth 2:12

ruth 2 12

We all know someone who works long hours in the ministry of God, sometimes with seeing very little results. Pastors who stand behind the pulpit and preach the Word God has given them week after week and it seems as if no one is listening. The missionary in another country, alone, perhaps in a hostile environment and they see no one coming to Christ. The foster parent who lovingly cares for someone else’s child despite all the hurt, trauma, fears, and loss they bring with them. These people are heroes to me. They are some of the most loving people I know. They are the people who stood up when God called and said, “Here I am Lord, send me.” Yet statistically, they are also the people that burnout faster, deal with constant stress, and end up with compassion fatigue. So to all of you who said yes when Jesus called you, my prayer for you comes from the mouth of Boaz, ” May the Lord reward you for what you have done” and may He cover you with His wings so that you feel His love and presence today.
