Godly Parenting Scripture of the Day

Luke 23:42: Grace Changes Everything

As Jesus hung on the cross, we find four different groups of people who were there to see the Son of God die. They simply didn’t get it. But in the midst of all the people jeering, staring, sneering, and mocking, there was one who did it. Only one figured out the Jesus was who He said He was.

Prayer Scripture of the Day

Luke 12:29,31. The Pointlessness of Worry

If you were to ask Google to define worry, you’d get a definition such as: “give way to anxiety or unease; allow one’s mind to dwell on difficulty or troubles.” We stew and dwell on things, often beyond our control to the point that anxiety sets in and then we can’t sleep. Job performance decreases. Family problems begin to brew. Our health takes a hit. Yet, the Bible tells us that we should “cast all our cares on Him for He cares for us” (1 Peter 5:7).

Christmas Scripture of the Day

Isaiah 2:1-5. First Sunday of Advent: Preparing for the Coming of the Lord

Isaiah 9:2, 6-7. First Sunday of Advent: Hope. The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined. For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
