Whenever we speak in haste without taking time to control what we say, we often end up saying things we regret. Pride, dishonesty, envy, gossip, and anger can all cause us to speak in haste. We don’t take the time to consider the impact our words have on others. It’s important to remember that once words leave our mouth, they can never be called back. If you struggle with speaking before thinking, commit to asking God to allow your words to honor Him before you begin to speak…especially when tensions are high.
