Couple Challenge: Relationship Builder

269

One of the greatest struggles in any marriage is money. Too many marriages end up with excessive debt that brings misery and stress. If you have not worked together to create a budget, spend this time creating one. If you do have a working budget, review it and reevaluate how your money is being spent. Look for areas where you can save money. Identify where there is excessive spending that you could allocate to something else or use part of that money to pay down debt. Does your budget include a tithe to your church? If you are struggling financially, there are many books available to help you. Try: “Faith-based Family Finances” by Ron Blue and Jeremy White.

He then told them, “Watch out and be on guard against all greed because one’s life is not in the abundance of his possessions.” — Luke 12:15 (HCSB)
