Our emotional-self benefits from spiritual self-care with less stress, anxiety, and depression as we release our cares and concerns to the One who is in control of the universe and who has good plans for us.
As we pray, study God’s Word, and sing praise songs, our anxiety, stress, and depression levels are lowered because our focus is on Christ who is always in control of our circumstances rather than focusing on our problems and difficulties.
When we experience stress, fear, anxiety, or trouble, we can turn to God’s Word and His promises to find strength, comfort, and wisdom for the circumstances we face.
Another correlation to our faith improving health and life is that when we experience moments of stress, fear, anxiety, or trouble, we know that we can take everything to God in prayer and that He hears us. Prayer is the weapon that defeats these negative emotions.
