If you were to ask Google to define worry, you’d get a definition such as: “give way to anxiety or unease; allow one’s mind to dwell on difficulty or troubles.” We stew and dwell on things, often beyond our control to the point that anxiety sets in and then we can’t sleep. Job performance decreases. Family problems begin to brew. Our health takes a hit. Yet, the Bible tells us that we should “cast all our cares on Him for He cares for us” (1 Peter 5:7).
This weeks verse to memorize: 1 John 4:7-8. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Worry doesn’t solve anything. Instead, pray about everything and give thanks as your make your requests known to God.
1 Samuel 3:9. Speak, Lord
