Praying for Revival

A daily verse about the state of our nation and time for Christians reflect and unite in prayer, asking God to send a revival across our land and turn our nation back to Him.

Do we need a revival?

National Reflections for Revival:

1. Everyone needs to seek God. 1 Chronicles 16:11 tells us to “see the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually. Those who are lost in the sin without Jesus as their Savior need to seek him to find forgiveness and salvation. In what ways does America need to seek him?
2. What does it mean to “seek the Lord?” The Hebrew word is “darash” which means “to search or pursue.” Jeremiah 29:13 tells us that when we seek God, we will find Him when we search with all our heart. Can you honestly say you search God with all your heart? Do we as a nation search God with all our heart?
3. What does it mean to search for him while He can be found? Genesis 6:3 says that God will not always strive with man. So the time to seek Him is now. Once we leave this world by death, it will be too late.
4. As a nation, we need to seek Him before He has had enough of our sin and turns His back on us. We see this happen to the nation of Israel and Judah when they continually sinned, rejected God, and chose to go their own way. As a result they were conquered by the Babylonians and carried off into captivity.
5. Before it is too late, we need to seek God and forsake our wicked way and ask God for his compassion because He is ready to abundantly forgive.
6. If we were to seek God with all our heart, we would find Him and we’d see revival in our nation.

Lord, send a revival and let it begin in me.
