Before you say goodnight, take time to intercede for your children. Ask them what you can specifically pray for them this week.
Also pray for their health, protection, spiritual growth, school, choices, struggles, dreams, and any other area that the Holy Spirit brings to your mind.
If your children have not yet asked Jesus to save them, pray for their salvation.
Ask God to give your children a love for God’s Word, to delight in it, meditate on it, and obey it.
Pray that God will direct their paths and they would have a heart for the things of God.
Ask God to give your children a heart of thankfulness and gratitude. Ask God to give them His strength to face the challenges in their lives, to have courage to stand against the world and Satan’s temptations. Ask God to give them peace and protection. Pray that their hearts will be filled with the joy of the Lord and they will develop hearts of compassion towards others.
If you don’t yet have children, pray for your nieces and nephews or your friends children. If you are waiting for God to bless you with a child, then take this time to pray that He will grant you that blessing.
